Memory Cards
'Memory cards' is an ongoing project. It's a personal visual diary, it's my attempt to collect certain places and events as drawn memories. Every sketch is an attempt to capture a moment, a place or a person in a certain state.
Drawings inspired by The Curious Incident
Some time ago I watched a play based on the novel The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon and it had a big impression on me. Recently I found the novel in a local second-hand bookshop. Memories of the play merged with the text which inspired me to draw a couple of illustrations. I used dense multilayered coloured pencil hatching to try to convey the emotional state of the protagonist, Christopher.
